Building Description (Apartment)

A charming courtyard includes a barbecue grill and picnic area for small gatherings. A Residence Life Coordinator facilitates a community atmosphere by planning social events and activities throughout the year. Due to the lack of exterior space, these apartments are not suitable for children.

The York Crown Apartments, located a block from the Yale School of Architecture, are very convenient to the Drama, Art, Architecture, Law, and Medical Schools, as well as Yale’s Central Campus. Converted from original townhouse-type dwellings, many of these apartments have interesting design features. There are 20 apartments: five efficiencies and 15 one-bedroom units.  All units include vinyl flooring. Each living room is equipped with ceiling fans.

Facilities and Other Features

A furnished Community Room equipped with a TV and DVD and a small computer lab. This space is available to York-Crown residents for parties, study groups, movie nights, or other small group activities.

Residence Life

A Community Fellow is a graduate or professional student living in the community that facilitates a community atmosphere by planning social events and activities throughout the year.
