The York Crown Apartments, located a block from the Yale School of Architecture, are very convenient to the Drama, Art, Architecture, Law, and Medical Schools, as well as Yale’s Central Campus. Converted from original townhouse-type dwellings, many of these apartments have interesting design features. There are 21 apartments: five efficiencies, 15 one-bedroom units, and one two-bedroom unit. All units include vinyl flooring. Each living room is equipped with ceiling fans.
A charming courtyard includes a barbecue grill and picnic area for small gatherings. A Residence Life Coordinator facilitates a community atmosphere by planning social events and activities throughout the year. Due to the lack of exterior space, these apartments are not suitable for children.
