Orientation

Yale Graduate and Professional Schools run their orientation programs at different times in August and September. Yale Graduate Housing is not coordinated around any given School’s orientation program.

Please be aware that the start date of your Housing License Agreement is August 1st and the orientation calendar and schedule provided to you by your academic school or department.

Some Exceptions:

  • The only students who can move in before the contract start date are those who are participating in an academic program, confirmed by a Yale department hosting the early program/orientation.

  • Students must coordinate their early arrival with the Yale department hosting the early program/orientation.
