Check-In Information:
All residents will choose their move-in appointment from one of the provided dates listed below. It is important that you are mindful of these dates when creating your travel plans.
Unfurnished Housing Move-In Options - License begins August 1st
Check-In Option 1: Thursday, August 1st - Sunday, August 4st from 8:00 am to 11 :00 pm.
Check-In Option 2: Thursday, August 15th – Sunday August 18th, from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm.
Check-In Option 3: Friday August 23rd – Sunday August 25th, from 8:00am – 11:00pm.
Furnished Housing Move-In Options - License begins August 15th
Check-In Option 1: Thursday, August 15th - Sunday, August 18th from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm.
Check-In Option 2: Friday, August 23rd - Sunday, 25th from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm

You must be pre-registered as move-ins/key pick up are by appointment only.
If you require an alternate move-in date, from the options listed, on the registration form, there is a place to request alternate dates. Alternate dates are not an appointment, you must wait for confirmation from the housing office. Alternate date requests will only be granted for extenuating circumstances. Alternate appointment requests can only be requested for Monday-Thursday, between 9am and 3pm at the Graduate Housing Office. Once you request has been submitted for the alternate date, you will be contacted within 72 hours of your request. Please be sure to check your Yale email account for communication.
**To ensure a smooth move in process all residents must fill out the arrival form by Sunday, July 14th at 11:55 pm.
What if I arrive to campus outside the dates/times available?
If you are planning to arrive on campus outside of the designated move-in times/days, you will need to make sleeping arrangements such as hotel reservations until the next available move in appointment.
Where do I check-In?
You will receive a confirmation email prior to your appointment with your check-in details. We will have two check in locations. You will be assigned to the closest check in location to where you will be residing. After you pick up your keys we will provide you with a map from the check in location to your assigned residency.

For residents who have been approved for alternate move-in dates/times, you will check into 272 Elm Street, New Haven, CT 06511, Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm. If your assignment is at ES Harkness Hall, please check in at 367 Cedar Street, New Haven, CT 06511, Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm.

Does Housing Have Furniture or Other Household Items Available to New Residents?
Yale Housing runs a year-round swap room with used donated small kitchen appliances, clothing items, electronics, and other household goods that residents can take for free as needed. How do I get to campus from the airport?
There are many ways to get to campus from JFK airport (NY), La Guardia airport (NY), and Bradley airport (CT). There are shuttle busses, trains, and rental cars.
