Housing Group Formation is Now Open

Dear students,

Group Formation is now open – please log in to the Undergraduate Housing Portal to form a housing group for the 2025-2026 academic year. Please note that you must be a member of a group to proceed to the next stage of room draw and be assigned a room selection appointment. Students entering as an individual to draw for a single (if available to your class draw) should create a group of one.

2025-2026 Room Draw Timeline

January 15 - February 5

Intent Declaration for all students

Housing Accommodation request deadline

Group Formation for all classes

March 4 - March 6

Oversubscription/ Regrouping for all classes

March 24

Lottery Assignments sent to all students

Room Draw Information Session

The second part of the Room Draw Info Session series is live on the website! Please be sure to check it out for a deep dive into the oversubscription and regrouping process, lottery assignments, room selection, and the housing waitlist process.

How to Form a Group 

  1. Log into the Housing Portal using your NetID and password.  
  2. After logging in, click the “Room Draw” link in the gray title bar.  
  3. On the Room Draw landing page, scroll to the bottom, and click the blue “Continue Housing Process” button.  
  4. You will now see the Group Formation page. If you are creating a new group, click the “Create Group” button at the bottom of the page. Complete the group creation process by naming your group and selecting your desired size group.  
  5. To join a previously created group, search for the group you would like to join and request to be added. Or, contact the Group Leader and request they send you an invite. 
  6. For a list of available suites in your draw and college floor plans, please click the link “List of All Available Suites” on the top left-hand side of the Group Formation page.

Students may make changes to their group – including renaming, changing the group leader, changing group size, adding and removing members, and deleting – up until group formation ends on Tuesday, February 25th for all classes. Please note that students must be in a full and complete group in order to proceed to the next stages of room draw.  

Group Formation closes on February 25th for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
